The TRUTH®

I got caught up watching the Primos® "TRUTH® About Hunting" TV show last night. I have become a pretty avid fan of the Primos team, because you can tell that what they show and how they act on camera is real, not rehearsed - nothing but the truth. And when it comes to their hunting abilities, once again, most of the time they ain't nothing but the truth! But as I watched last night, it got me thinking about "TRUTH". I started wondering what kind of "truths" do outdoorsmen believe. Do we believe that God is truly capable of creating this remarkable planet, as well as this awesome game and fish that we seek after? Do we believe that what we harvest is truly a blessing from God, or rather based on our skill or just plain luck? Do we believe that there is one absolute truth on which we base everything else, or are all things just relative?

Scripture is littered with references which reinforce that God and His Word were truth, are truth, and will always be truth. In the Psalms, David states that he "walked continually in His truth", "Your truth always protects me", "called on Him in truth", asked God that He "send forth His light and truth". Jesus repeatedly told his followers "I tell you the truth". When Jesus prayed for His disciples, He asked the Father to "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth".

Clearly, God's Word is the truth in which we should be grounded, and on which we should be basing our beliefs, our decisions, and our future. I encourage you to get into His Word today and discover real TRUTH. - GE
